About the job

Business Development Manager

East Coast, USA

About FloodMapp:

FloodMapp is a rapidly growing tech company scaling across Australia & the USA to save lives and prevent damage from flooding.

The Problem:

Flooding is becoming more frequent and more severe each year. It is the costliest natural disaster, causing billions in damages and taking thousands of lives across the globe each year. Most of this occurs because businesses and individuals do not have access to location-specific flood forecasts.

The Solution:

FloodMapp offers real-time flood forecasting at continental scale; delivered as a live mapping feed to help users understand who and what is in danger and subsequently prevent lives being lost, and damage to assets. Our ground-breaking modelling technology, DASH, introduces big data, automation and machine learning to traditional flood modelling techniques to deliver a world-first live mapping solution.

Our Team:

At FloodMapp, people are our main focus, because hard problems require an exceptional team. As a diverse team, we value empathy, inclusion and communication. The nature of our complex product requires a multidisciplinary team; with many team members coming from different technical backgrounds from flood engineering to data science.
