The Role
Are you passionate about building a safer future, and looking for a role where you can use your sales skills to make an impact? The primary focus of the BDR role is to support FloodMapp sales team to grow our customer base and help more communities to improve safety and flood resilience. You will set appointments for the sales team with prospects in the Ideal Client Profiles (ICPs) and support all prospecting efforts , both inbound and outbound. The role is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and cleaning lead data, contacting and qualifying potential customers and nurturing them until a meeting has been conformed with an Account Executive (AE) or another member of the sales team.
Success will ultimately be measured by the quantity and quality of appointments booked and the percentage of organizations which progress through the customer journey to become long-term customers. The role requires persistence, tenacity and a learning mindset. Being part of a small and growing team means you will be comfortable with ambiguity as we approach, connect with, and learn from new market sectors.
Responsibilities

Outbound prospects to identify new potential customers using a multi-channel approach including calling, text, well researched email and social engagement (LinkedIn).

Qualify inbound leads and pass qualified opportunities to the sales team.

Identify and prospect new personas and contacts from within the buying group for existing sales opportunities.

Research ICPs and Personas to ensure relevant messaging for target markets.

In conjunction with Sales Management, develop and execute a territory plan to acquire new customers.

Actively promote, articulate value and, as needed, demonstrate FloodMapp’s offerings to assist the business achieve its defined customer acquisition and revenue goals.

Collaborate with other FloodMapp departments and teams including but not limited to Marketing and Product to ensure market feedback is incorporated into new messaging and product roadmap.

Effectively manage early stage pipeline and work within a defined sales process to support sales account executives.

Record all relevant information and Intellectual property (IP) in company systems including CRM.

Skills & Background

Required skills and experience
-
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent working experience) in GIS, science, marketing, business or related field

2+ years demonstrated experience in Customer facing roles, sales or business development.

Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Highly efficient and productive with strong organizational skills

Proven ability to work within time constraints and to a deadline
